OnePlus to Release Nord 5, CE5, and Buds 4 on July 8: Here’s What to Look Out For

OnePlus has officially announced the launch of three new devices the OnePlus Nord 5, Nord CE5, and OnePlus Buds 4. The devices are set to be released on July 8, 2025, at 2 PM IST.

OnePlus Nord 5: Flagship Power Meets the Nord Line

For the first time in the Nord series, a Snapdragon 8 series chipset will be included. The Nord 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, built on a 4nm process and paired with LPDDR5X RAM.

According to company reports, the Nord 5 will support Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) at 90fps, with frame interpolation pushing gameplay up to 144fps.

Cooling System and Battery

To address heating issues, the device includes a Cryo-Velocity VC cooling system with a 7,300 mm² heat dissipation surface. The graphene-based thermals are said to rival the OnePlus 13, boasting a thermal conductivity efficiency of 1,800W/m-K.

The Nord 5 is equipped with a massive 7,000mAh battery, a significant upgrade from the Nord 4’s 5,500mAh unit. It also supports 100W fast charging, catering to users looking for extended usage and rapid top-ups.

Camera Upgrades

Camera improvements are also expected. Rumors suggest a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor featuring OIS, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfies and video calls, the phone may include a 16MP front camera.

OnePlus Nord CE5: Details Awaited

While the OnePlus Nord CE5 is also launching alongside the Nord 5, specific hardware details are currently limited. However, more specifications are expected to surface closer to the official launch date.

OnePlus Buds 4: High-End Audio, Low Latency

In the audio segment, OnePlus will introduce the OnePlus Buds 4, bringing premium features to the TWS category. Key highlights include:

• 3D Audio
• Ultra-low 47ms latency mode for gaming

The Buds 4 will be available in two color options: Zen Green and Storm Grey.
