Optoma has introduced UHC70LV 4K UHD projector, which features Dolby Vision certification, marking it as the first high brightness home cinema projector to achieve this designation. The UHC70LV is aimed at both professional install markets and home cinema enthusiasts, delivering 4K UHD visuals designed to enhance the viewing experience.

The projector offers a contrast ratio of 3,200,000:1 and brightness of 5,000 lumens, intended to provide a detailed and immersive experience for movies, TV shows, and live sports. By utilizing Dolby Vision technology, the UHC70LV is designed to optimize each frame of content, aiming to replicate the image quality found in Dolby Cinema theaters. Additionally, HDR10+ technology is included to enhance dynamic range and color precision.

A notable feature of the UHC70LV will be the introduction of FILMMAKER MODE, which is set to be available via an over-the-air update. This mode is designed to preserve the director’s intent by maintaining accurate colors, contrast, and motion across various films and shows.

The projector incorporates Optoma’s PureEngine Ultra technology, which aims to enhance color saturation and detail. For smooth visuals during fast-paced action scenes, the UHC70LV employs PureMotion advanced frame interpolation technology.

This model is characterized by its 4K UHD dual laser projection and instant startup and shutdown capabilities, eliminating traditional lamp replacements. It also supports easy installation with features like geometric correction, 1.6x zoom, vertical and horizontal lens shift, and 360-degree installation flexibility.

In terms of audio, the UHC70LV supports Dolby Atmos pass-through via eARC for enhanced sound quality from external audio systems. It is compatible with WiSA SoundSend wireless audio transmitters, further expanding its audio capabilities.

Vijay Sharma, Managing Director at Optoma Technology (I) Pvt. Ltd., stated that the UHC70LV is designed to meet consumer needs for a projector that provides high brightness, contrast, and flexible features. The projector includes HDMI 2.1 with 4K 120Hz support and aims to deliver a high level of color accuracy.

The UHC70LV is available for an estimated price of ₹7,50,000.
