Samsung has announced a new variant of the Galaxy S24, this time powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The move comes just before India’s festive sales rush, positioning the S24 as a key player in the premium Android space.
The Galaxy S24 has already carved out its place as one of the country’s best-selling Android smartphones in its segment. Now, with Qualcomm’s 4nm chipset under the hood, Samsung is doubling down on performance, AI features, and camera capabilities, areas that have become crucial for smartphone buyers in 2025.
AI remains the centrepiece. Features like Live Translate bring real-time, two-way translations during phone calls, while Interpreter allows instant split-screen translations even offline. Chat Assist extends these tools into messaging apps, offering translation, tone adjustments, and writing suggestions. Productivity also gets a lift with Note Assist for AI-powered summaries and templates, alongside Gemini Live, which enables real-time visual AI conversations.

Photography is another major focus. The S24 carries a 50MP triple camera setup, supported by Samsung’s ProVisual Engine — a suite of AI-powered tools for editing, remastering, and even generative background fills. Nightography upgrades and AI Zoom aim to improve low-light and zoomed-in shots alike.
The hardware isn’t overlooked either. The phone sports a 6.2-inch display capable of reaching up to 2600 nits brightness, protected by Samsung Knox security. It will be available in four colours: Onyx Black, Marble Grey, Amber Yellow, and Cobalt Violet.
Notably, Samsung is committing to seven generations of OS updates and security patches, extending the device’s lifecycle significantly compared to past flagships.
The Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S24 will be available in India soon, with pricing expected to be announced closer to launch.
