G-SHOCK Doubles Down on Pop Culture with Joshua Vides and Coca-Cola Collaborations

As G-SHOCK continues to strengthen its connection with art, fashion and pop culture, the brand has unveiled two striking new collaborations that reimagine some of its most iconic timepieces through the lenses of contemporary art and global nostalgia.

The first collaboration sees internationally acclaimed artist-designer Joshua Vides bring his instantly recognisable black-and-white hand-drawn aesthetic to the classic DW-6900 and DW-5600 silhouettes. Known for transforming everyday objects into comic-inspired visual creations, Vides gives the rugged watches a graphic, almost illustrated appearance.

The DW-6900JV-1 arrives with a black matte finish accented by white graphics, while the DW-5600JV-7 flips the script with a glossy white finish and bold black detailing. Both watches also feature Vides’ signature “Cone” motif hidden within the LED backlight, along with exclusive collector-style packaging. Despite the artistic makeover, the watches retain G-SHOCK’s trademark toughness and utility-focused features, including shock resistance, stopwatch functions, alarms and five-year battery life.

Meanwhile, Casio has also introduced the new GA-2100CC, a special-edition collaboration celebrating the 140th anniversary of Coca-Cola. Built on the popular GA-2100 platform with its signature octagonal bezel, the watch incorporates design elements inspired by Coca-Cola’s legendary contour bottle.

From bottle-shaped motifs on the band loop and day indicator to dial graphics inspired by fizzy bubbles, the watch leans heavily into nostalgic storytelling. The case back even features an engraving inspired by a bottle cap, while the packaging has been specially designed to commemorate the collaboration.

Together, the two launches seem to be signifying G-SHOCK’s increasing positioning of its watches as wearable cultural statements that merge durability with design-driven storytelling.
