The Government of Maharashtra has partnered with TEAM (Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Mumbai) to present the second edition of Mumbai Tech Week (MTW), slated to take place from February 24 to March 1, 2025. Following a remarkable inaugural year in 2024 that received recognition from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, MTW 2025 aims to further establish Mumbai as a pivotal hub for technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

The collaboration between the state government and TEAM highlights India’s ambition to lead globally in AI, with Mumbai at the forefront of this ongoing transformation. A spokesperson from TEAM expressed excitement about the event, stating, “MTW 2025 underscores Mumbai’s crucial role in India’s ambitious tech and innovation efforts. This year’s event will serve as a testament to the city’s vibrant ecosystem, where AI-driven solutions are reshaping industries and impacting the world.”

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized the government’s commitment to harnessing technology for economic growth, noting that Mumbai contributes to 4% of India’s GDP. “Mumbai Tech Week 2025 is an ideal platform for actionable insights and discussions surrounding AI, as we work with TEAM to enhance our city’s role as a leader in this domain,” he stated.

A Hub for Innovation and Dialogue

MTW 2025 will bring together leaders from various sectors, focusing on the intersection of technology, policy, and governance. The event aims to showcase Mumbai as the ‘AI Use Case Capital,’ driven by its rich entrepreneurial history and quick adoption of AI technologies. Attendees can expect to hear from renowned policymakers, including Union Ministers like Piyush Goyal and Ashwini Vaishnaw, as well as influential industry leaders such as N. Chandrasekaran of Tata Sons and Uday Shankar from Jio Star.

The event will also spotlight emerging leaders like Akash Ambani, alongside tech giants such as Arundhati Bhattacharya (Salesforce India), and Puneet Chandok (Microsoft India). Additionally, notable unicorn founders like Kunal Shah (CRED) and Bhavish Aggarwal (OLA) will share insights from their journeys, making MTW 2025 a must-attend event for aspiring entrepreneurs.

A Week of Engagement and Learning

The week-long event will kick off with satellite events from February 24 to 27, featuring workshops and hackathons across Mumbai. The excitement will peak on February 28 and March 1 at the iconic Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, where participants can look forward to keynotes, panel discussions, fireside chats, and extensive networking opportunities.

One of the highlights of MTW 2025 will be exploring the integration of AI with various sectors, including arts, culture, and sports. Attendees will hear from famous personalities such as Rahul Dravid, filmmaker Karan Johar, and actor Suniel Shetty, providing valuable insights into how AI is influencing diverse aspects of society and business.
