At the Broadcast India Show 2025, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, Canon India presented a comprehensive display of its latest imaging technologies. The centerpiece was the India debut of the EOS C50, a compact digital cinema camera designed for professional video production. The booth, styled to resemble a high-end production set, showcased Canon’s range of solutions for cinema, virtual production, and live broadcasting.
Interactive Zones
The Canon booth was organized into three interactive zones, each replicating a real-world production environment to demonstrate the capabilities of their equipment:
- Cinema EOS & DILC Zone: This section highlighted Canon’s Cinema EOS and R System lineup, focusing on tools for cinematic storytelling.
- Virtual Production Zone: This area showcased workflows using Canon’s PTZ and C400 cameras, illustrating their application in virtual production setups.
- R50V Zone: Targeted at digital-first creators, this zone demonstrated the EOS R50V’s features for amateur filmmakers and content creators.
Product Lineup
Canon displayed a variety of products tailored to different types of visual storytellers:
- EOS R50V: Designed for vloggers and casual content creators, this camera offers accessible features for producing quality video content.
- EOS R5 Mark II: A hybrid camera for advanced creators, combining professional-grade photography and video capabilities.
- EOS C400, C80, and EOS C50: These cameras are built for filmmakers and OTT professionals, with the EOS C50 introduced as a compact option for high-end production workflows.

Leadership and Industry Presence
The booth was inaugurated by cinematographers Kiran Deohans and Sudeep Chatterjee, Canon Cinema EOS Ambassadors, whose involvement underscored Canon’s ties to India’s creative community. Mr. Toshiaki Nomura, President & CEO of Canon India, spoke about the company’s focus on imaging innovation, noting the EOS C50’s launch as a significant step in addressing modern production needs.
Collaborative Demonstrations
Canon partnered with companies such as Aputure, EIZO, Sennheiser, SanDisk, Atomos, Mo-Sys, and PROTECH to present integrated setups. The booth featured functional environments for Cinematic News Studio setups, Virtual Production systems, and AR/VR applications, showcasing the adaptability of Canon’s remote PTZ cameras for industries like education, corporate, sports, and media.
