BenQ has officially launched the ScreenBar Halo 2 in India, marking its next-generation flagship monitor light designed for professionals, creators, and gamers. This lighting solution promises optimal eye comfort and intelligent control, particularly in dim or variable lighting environments.
Developed over four years of extensive research and user testing, the ScreenBar Halo 2 features a powerful dual-light system and a newly introduced triple-curvature backlight design that provides 423% wider coverage compared to its predecessor. This enhanced design aims to create a balanced lighting environment, reducing contrast between the monitor and surrounding areas to help prevent visual fatigue during prolonged work sessions.

Traditional desk lamps often struggle with glare, reflections, and uneven lighting, but the ScreenBar Halo 2 addresses these issues with BenQ’s exclusive ASYM-Light optical technology. This technology employs an 18° asymmetrical cut-off angle to direct light onto the desk rather than the screen, effectively eliminating glare and protecting the eyes from direct light. A study conducted by the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology underscores the importance of balanced ambient light, which the ScreenBar Halo 2 addresses by adhering to the ANSI standard, which requires an optimal luminance ratio of no more than 3:1 between the monitor and its surroundings.
JC Pan, Chief Product Designer at BenQ Smart Lighting, highlighted the importance of precision in lighting for professionals. The new model features an intuitive controller with an anti-fingerprint-coated wireless dial that allows users to smoothly adjust brightness from 0–100% and colour temperature from 2700K to 6500K. This flexibility is particularly beneficial for tasks such as colour grading and content creation.
The monitor light’s mounting system has been redesigned to incorporate a zinc-alloy clamp, inspired by the ScreenBar Pro’s gravity-based mechanism. This new design accommodates a variety of monitor types, from ultra-thin to curved models, without risking screen damage.

The ScreenBar Halo 2 features several smart features that enhance user convenience. Motion detection capabilities automatically activate the light when the user returns to the desk, while auto-dimming adjusts brightness based on surrounding light conditions. The memory settings also allow users to save their preferred lighting configurations, ensuring a customized experience.
Collaboratively designed with MINIMAL Design, the ScreenBar Halo 2 presents a refined metallic finish and a minimal silhouette, seamlessly integrating into modern work environments. Its design complements BenQ’s professional monitor lineup, including the PD, RD, MOBIUZ, and MA series, aiming for a cohesive aesthetic in workspace setups.
Rajeev Singh, Managing Director of BenQ India & South Asia, remarked on the technology’s role in enhancing user experiences. He stated, “The ScreenBar Halo 2 combines intelligent engineering, elegant design, and smart automation to create modern workspaces that are healthier, more productive, and visually inspiring.”
The BenQ ScreenBar Halo 2 is available for purchase at ₹17,490.
