Oben Electric has introduced the Rorr EVO, positioning it as a more mature and practical evolution of the electric motorcycle for Indian riders. Priced at an introductory ₹99,999 (ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 customers, the motorcycle aims to strike a balance between everyday usability and performance, a gap that has long existed in the segment.
The Rorr EVO adopts a streetfighter design with a strong visual identity, highlighted by a projector headlamp and sculpted body panels. But beyond aesthetics, the focus here is clearly on real-world capability. The motorcycle delivers a claimed top speed of 110 km/h and a certified range of 180 km (IDC), making it viable not just for city commutes but also for longer daily runs.
What stands out is Oben’s push towards intelligent riding. The introduction of SmartIQ, an AI-driven ride mode, analyses riding patterns in real time to optimise power delivery and extend range. This signals a shift towards software-defined performance, rather than purely hardware-led gains.
The engineering approach is equally notable. The Rorr EVO uses an in-house developed IP68-rated motor paired with a 3.4 kWh LFP battery, chosen for better thermal stability and longevity over conventional lithium-ion setups. Fast charging from 0 to 80 percent in 90 minutes adds a layer of convenience that’s critical in urban use.
Practicality is another area where Oben is attempting to differentiate. With features like integrated storage, a relatively accessible seat height, and connected tech including navigation, geo-fencing, and emergency alerts, the Rorr EVO leans into everyday usability as much as performance.
Bookings are now open, with deliveries expected to begin in June 2026, as Oben looks to expand its presence across India’s growing electric two-wheeler market.
