Amazon has launched the new Fire TV Stick HD in India, introducing what it claims is its fastest HD streaming stick yet. More importantly, the device can now be powered directly through a TV’s USB port, eliminating the need for a separate wall adapter and enabling a cleaner setup behind televisions.
Priced at ₹4,999, the Fire TV Stick HD supports 1080p Full HD streaming with HDR10+ and comes equipped with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. According to Amazon, the upgraded hardware enables quicker app launches, smoother navigation, and more stable streaming performance, even on slower internet connections.
The latest streaming stick also introduces a slimmer design, making it around 30 per cent thinner than other Fire TV devices in the lineup. The new device claims to bring over 30 per cent faster performance on average compared to the previous generation, along with a redesigned Fire TV experience aimed at improving speed, navigation, and overall usability.

Users can access content from streaming platforms including Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, JioHotstar, and Zee5, among others.
Amazon has also introduced Xbox cloud gaming support on Fire TV HD streaming devices for the first time, allowing users to stream Xbox titles directly through the Xbox app using a compatible Bluetooth controller and an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
The Fire TV Stick HD is available via Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto, with offline retail availability expected soon.
