Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Book6 lineup with a new 14-inch laptop. The company says this model makes the Galaxy Book more accessible. It starts at $799 (around ₹76,000).
The new Galaxy Book6 runs on Intel Core 3 or Core 5 performance processors. It delivers up to 25 hours of battery life on a single charge and supports 45W fast charging, which adds around 33% battery in 30 minutes.
Mincheol Lee, EVP and Head of Galaxy Ecosystems Business Team at Samsung, said the company built this laptop to bring the Galaxy Book experience to more people. He added that it combines dependable performance, long battery life and the Galaxy Book6 design, at a more accessible price.
Design and display
The laptop follows the design standard set by the Galaxy Book6 series: clean lines, a symmetrical shape and a centred logo. Samsung has kept the slim look, at 15.7mm thick, and light, at 1.35kg.
Samsung is also introducing a new colour for the Galaxy Book line: Violet Silver.
The display is a 14-inch WUXGA panel with 1920×1200 resolution and 350 nits brightness. It uses a 16:10 aspect ratio, which gives more vertical space for documents and web pages. Samsung has added an anti-reflective coating to cut down glare.
Ports and connectivity
Galaxy Book6 has two USB Type-C ports, one USB Type-A port, an HDMI 1.4 port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Both USB-C ports offer the same functionality, so users don’t need to guess which one to use for charging and which to use for data transfer. The laptop also supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4.
AI and Galaxy ecosystem features
Galaxy Book6 ships with several Galaxy AI features. AI Select lets users select on-screen content and pull up related information while browsing or shopping. It also includes AI Cut Out, which automatically removes image backgrounds. Note Assist summarises notes taken in Samsung Notes.
The laptop connects with other Galaxy devices too. Quick Share sends files between devices. Storage Share lets users access photos and files stored on a Galaxy phone directly from the laptop, without transferring them first.
Other cross-device features include Multi Control, which lets one keyboard and mouse control multiple Galaxy devices, and Second Screen, which turns a Galaxy Tab into an extra display. Nearby Devices simplifies device pairing, and Link to Windows brings phone features to the PC.
Pricing, storage and availability
Galaxy Book6 starts at $799 (around ₹76,000). It comes with 8GB or 16GB RAM and 256GB, 512GB or 1TB storage. Samsung Care+ covers accidental damage, repairs and replacements for an added fee.
Samsung says the laptop is rolling out in select markets first, with more markets to follow. The company hasn’t confirmed Indian availability or pricing yet.
