JioHotstar is expanding its international presence by entering the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region through a partnership with STARZPLAY. Announced on October 6, 2026, the expansion follows the streaming platform’s launches in the UK, Canada, and Singapore. Instead of launching a standalone service, JioHotstar will be available as a dedicated streaming destination within the STARZPLAY app and website.
The partnership will bring a wide selection of Indian entertainment to viewers across the region. The catalogue will include JioHotstar Originals, blockbuster films, television shows from JioStar channels and popular reality programmes. Viewers can look forward to shows such as Koffee with Karan and Bigg Boss, available in six languages. The library will feature content in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Bangla and other languages, with a strong focus on Malayalam programmes. New JioHotstar Originals will also premiere at the same time as in India.
