Verdict
The Noise Clutch HP-P01 is a comfortable gaming headset that delivers surprisingly good performance for its price, with clear in-game audio, reliable wireless connectivity and around 15 hours of battery life with intermittent use. The detachable microphone provides clear voice quality for everyday gaming communication. Music playback is less impressive, as tracks can sound flat or crowded. Still, the HP-P01 offers a good balance of comfort, gaming audio and battery life at its price point, making it a solid option for gamers who also want a headset for videos and everyday listening.

Battery
I have been using the Noise Clutch HP-P01 in black for almost two weeks now, mainly for gaming, but also for music and videos. Since a gaming headset needs to work across different situations, I wanted to see how it handled everything from picking out footsteps in a game to listening to music during a break. I was also curious about its comfort during longer sessions and how much surrounding noise it could block out without active noise cancellation.
Design and Comfort
The Noise Clutch HP-P01 follows a familiar gaming headset design, with RGB lighting around the earcups, a reinforced frame and a detachable boom microphone. The black finish keeps the overall look understated, while the lighting gives it a more gaming-focused appearance.
There is plenty of cushioning across the earcups and headband. The padding feels soft against the head, and I did not find the fit uncomfortable during my use. The earcups also block out a surprising amount of surrounding noise. While the HP-P01 does not have active noise cancellation (ANC), its passive isolation cuts out a noticeable amount of ambient sound, helping me focus on what I am listening to.
Features and Connectivity
The HP-P01 supports 2.4GHz wireless connectivity through a USB dongle, Bluetooth 6.0 and a 3.5mm wired connection. The 2.4GHz connection was reliable during my use, with negligible latency. Noise claims latency of around 24ms over its wireless gaming connection.
Bluetooth offers another option for compatible devices, while the wired connection provides additional flexibility. The headset also features 50mm drivers and 7.1 virtual surround sound.
Gaming Performance
A good pair of gaming headphones doesn’t necessarily need to sound fabulous, but it needs to get a few things right: footsteps, gunfire, explosions, and other audio cues should be clear enough to follow without everything blending together. The Noise Clutch HP-P01 handles this well, with spatial sounds that help you understand where the action is coming from.
I played Valorant using the headset, and footsteps were pretty easy to locate. This is useful in competitive games, where audio cues can help you figure out an opponent’s position before they appear on screen.
The headset also supports 7.1 virtual surround sound, which is designed to create a more spatial listening experience. However, virtual surround sound isn’t the same as multiple physical speakers, and its effectiveness can depend on the game and audio processing.

Sound Quality for Music and Videos
Gaming was not the only thing I used the HP-P01 for. I also listened to music and watched videos, and while the audio was adequate for everyday entertainment, music often sounded flat. The headset does the job, but its sound profile may not satisfy listeners who want more depth and detail.
There is a difference between audio that works well for gaming and a sound profile that suits every listener’s preferences. If music quality is your main priority, dedicated headphones may be a better choice. However, the HP-P01 is convenient if you want one headset for gaming, videos and occasional music listening.
Battery Life
Battery life is worth considering when choosing a wireless gaming headset, especially if you spend several hours using it each day. Noise claims up to 40 hours of battery life with RGB lighting switched off and up to 20 hours with the lighting enabled.
In real-world use, I got around 15 hours of battery life with the headset used across multiple sessions. Actual endurance can vary depending on usage and settings, including whether the RGB lighting is enabled. You can switch off the lighting to help extend battery life.
The headset charges quickly through USB Type-C. Battery life is more than reasonable at this price point.
Microphone and Everyday Use
The HP-P01 comes with a detachable boom microphone for multiplayer gaming and voice chat. It’s removable, so switching between media becomes more convenient.
I used the microphone for in-game chat, and it delivered clear enough audio. While it is not designed to replace a dedicated USB microphone for more demanding recording or streaming setups, it works well for what most gamers need.
