Apple Launched Final Cut Pro 11 with AI-Driven Features for Pro Editors

Apple has unveiled Final Cut Pro 11, packed with innovative features and substantial updates across its video and audio suite, including Final Cut Pro for iPad, Final Cut Camera, and Logic Pro. These new tools and enhancements aim to streamline workflows for professional creators while integrating seamlessly with Apple Vision Pro.

What’s New in Final Cut Pro 11

Final Cut Pro 11 introduces a suite of powerful tools like the Magnetic Mask and Transcribe to Captions, alongside spatial video editing capabilities. With Magnetic Mask, users can isolate people and objects in their clips without a green screen or complex rotoscoping, making it a game-changer for seamless visual effects. Transcribe to Captions, a highly anticipated feature, enables rapid and accurate closed captions generated by an Apple-trained language model that transcribes spoken audio directly onto the timeline. Together, these tools bring heightened precision and efficiency to content creation.

The Final Cut Pro for iPad 2.1 update adds a one-tap Enhance Light and Colour feature, intelligently optimising colour balance, contrast, and brightness across SDR, HDR, RAW, and Log-encoded media, providing iPad users with powerful, professional-grade editing in a portable format. Meanwhile, Final Cut Camera 1.1 empowers filmmakers with pro-grade controls, supporting Log-encoded HEVC video capture for both standalone and Live Multicam sessions. This allows users to capture high-dynamic-range Log footage with smaller file sizes, extending recording time without compromising quality.

    Availability and Pricing

Final Cut Pro 11 is now available as a free update for existing users or for $299.99 (~₹25,000) for new users on the Mac App Store. For those interested, a free 90-day trial is also offered. Final Cut Pro for iPad 2.1 is available as a free update for current subscribers or on the App Store for $4.99 (~₹400) per month or $49 (~₹4000) per year, with a one-month free trial for new users. Final Cut Camera 1.1 is available as a free standalone app on the App Store. With this release, Apple reinforces its commitment to delivering robust, intuitive editing tools that push creative boundaries across its ecosystem, from desktop to mobile.
