Dyson Unveils a New Lineup of AI-Powered Home and Personal Care Devices

Dyson revealed a new generation of products at its Dyson Unveiled event in Berlin on September 4. Chief Engineer Jake Dyson introduced the lineup as a shift from purely mechanical devices to “intelligent machines” that use AI, vision systems, and machine learning to sense and respond to their environment.

“We’ve always been very focused on the mechanical engineering of a product, spending decades honing the physical way that each machine performs,” Dyson said. “Now we have shifted from purely mechanical devices to intelligent machines that can see, think, and respond.”

CameraJet: A Toothbrush With a Camera

The Dyson CameraJet combines brushing, targeted liquid flossing, and mouthwash dispensing in one device. A built-in 100k-pixel macro lens camera powers Gap Optical Targeting, Dyson’s machine learning system. It identifies gaps between teeth in real time and fires a precise burst of mouthrinse where needed.

Dyson says 661 engineers spent six years developing CameraJet. The system scans 28 images per second and runs on 16 million lines of code, trained on more than 470,000 dental images. It also features a conical jet, an anti-gravity tank for mouthrinse delivery at any angle, and a dual-bristle head. CameraJet connects to the MyDyson app over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for live viewing and coverage mapping. Dyson says images aren’t recorded or stored on the device or in the cloud.

HushJet: Airflow Borrowed From Aviation

Dyson expanded its HushJet air purifier range with a nozzle design that draws on aerospace airflow principles to cut noise while moving air at high speed. Dyson will bring this technology across its purifiers, heaters, and coolers.

Three models lead the range. The HushJet Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ Ioniser + UV is Dyson’s most powerful purifier, capturing 99.999% of pollutants down to 0.01 microns and removing 99.9% of bacteria through UV sterilisation. The HushJet Pure Cool+ Ioniser + UV offers a smaller footprint with up to 3x more purification power than earlier models. The HushJet Hot Cool Pure+ combines purification, heating, and cooling in one unit.

W1 PencilWash: A Self-Cleaning Upgrade

The Dyson W1 PencilWash wet floor cleaner gets a refresh. It now has a more absorbent roller, a hygienic waste system, and self-cleaning dock technology, all in the same lighter, slimmer design.

Corrale CoolShine: A Cooler Way to Straighten

The Corrale CoolShine straightener adds a cooling attachment with heat-extracting pipes that draw excess heat away from hair during styling. Dyson says this cuts heat damage by up to 29% and increases shine by up to 154% versus untreated hair, while allowing for fewer passes and styles that last up to 24 hours.

Airsmooth: Dyson’s First Hot Air Brush

The Dyson Airsmooth is the brand’s first dedicated hot air brush. It uses a patented dual-bristle system, PivotFlex bristles, and anti-snag technology to dry, smooth, and lift hair with less snagging. Heat control checks the temperature 100 times a second, and the brush is built to work across hair types, from straight to coily.
