Nothing has introduced Nothing Warp, a new file transfer application designed to make sharing files and content between devices faster and easier.
The app addresses a common problem many users face: transferring files, links, copied text, and images between smartphones and computers without relying on email, messaging apps, or cables. With Nothing Warp, these items can be sent between devices within seconds, enabling quick two-way transfers.
On desktop systems, Nothing Warp is installed as a lightweight browser extension for Google Chrome-based browsers through the Chrome Web Store. The extension is compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux platforms. Once installed, users can simply scan a QR code to download the mobile app or access it directly through the Google Play Store.
On smartphones, the app integrates directly into the Android share menu, allowing users to send files or content seamlessly from their device. After connecting both devices using the same Google account, users can begin transferring files almost instantly without any additional setup.
Nothing has emphasised privacy as a key aspect of Warp’s design. Instead of routing files through its own servers, the application transfers data using the user’s personal Google Drive account. This means Nothing does not store or access any of the files shared through the platform.
The company describes Nothing Warp as an early community-driven project and says it plans to further develop the tool based on feedback from users. As cross-device workflows become increasingly common, tools like Warp aim to simplify everyday digital tasks by eliminating unnecessary steps in file sharing.
