Nuuk has launched the SĒRV MAX in India. The company calls it the country’s first 100% food-safe multi-cook kettle. It costs ₹2,699, and the price includes a SteamTray.
The kettle uses a 700W EvenHeat G-Type coil which wraps around the entire base. Nuuk claims it covers 35% more surface area than a regular C-type element. As a result, the kettle heats more evenly and avoids cold spots.
The SĒRV MAX has a 1.3L capacity. It offers two heat levels and a SĒRV WARM mode. This mode keeps cooked food at 65°C until it is ready to serve. The SteamTray has a 200 cm² steaming area. It suits momos, dumplings and vegetables. Besides steaming, the company says the kettle can cook eggs, noodles, soup and rice.
The interior uses food-grade SUS304 stainless steel. It also skips the usual non-stick coating. The lid is made of ISI-certified toughened glass. This lets users watch the food without lifting it
Safety features include auto cut-off, boil-dry protection, overheat protection and a thermal fuse. The body also has a cool-touch finish. Nuuk says it stays comfortable to hold while the contents boil.
Nuuk makes the kettle in India through local manufacturing partners. Co-founder Gazal Kalra says the design suits Indian cooking routines. He mentions chai, Maggi, idlis and dal as examples.
The SĒRV MAX comes in Nuuk Red and Serene Grey. It is on sale now on the Nuuk website. Amazon, Blinkit and offline stores will follow by October.
