Truecaller, the world’s leading communications platform, has unveiled a game-changing update for iPhone users, delivering its most powerful spam and scam-blocking capabilities yet. This milestone puts iPhone users on equal footing with Android users, granting them full access to Truecaller’s sophisticated caller identification tools.

Known as the digital guardian for over 291 million smartphone users in India, Truecaller is set on an ambitious mission: reaching 500 million users in India soon. To solidify its position as a household name in digital security, the company has introduced live Caller ID services for iPhone users, a feature that redefines how we manage unknown and spam calls.

What’s in It for Indian iPhone Users?

    • Say Goodbye to Unknown Calls: Never be caught off guard by mystery numbers again.
    • Enhanced Scam Protection: Proactively safeguard yourself from potential fraud.

This innovative functionality leverages Apple’s Live Caller ID Lookup framework, a cutting-edge API designed to deliver real-time caller identification without compromising user privacy. Truecaller is the first in the world to harness the power of homomorphic encryption at scale, ensuring your data stays secure while identifying calls.

A Next-Level Experience for iPhone Users

This update transforms Truecaller’s AI-driven capabilities into a powerful tool for iPhone users. With access to an extensive global database, Truecaller ensures that nearly every call is identified, whether from a new contact, a telemarketer, or a scammer.

Additional updates include the long-awaited automatic spam-blocking feature, making it easier than ever to stay secure. Plus, users can now search through their Recents list for previously identified numbers, with support for up to 2,000 entries.

Getting Started with Truecaller on iOS 18.2

    1. Update to Truecaller for iPhone version 14.0 or later.
    2. Navigate to Settings > Apps > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification on your iPhone.
    3. Enable all Truecaller switches and reopen the app to activate the new features.

    Available Now with Premium Benefits

While Truecaller Premium users can enjoy the full suite of features, free users will still have access to ad-supported number search and verified business caller ID. Spam auto-blocking is rolling out globally starting today, with the new Caller ID feature reaching all users in the coming days. For families, Truecaller offers a special Family Plan at just ₹1 per day per person*, ensuring affordable and comprehensive digital safety. Plan details can be checked here.
