    8.8 Verdict

The Realme 15 Pro 5G is a standout mid-range smartphone, featuring a massive 7000mAh battery in a sleek 7.69mm frame that ensures excellent portability. Its striking Flowing Silver design and 144Hz AMOLED display enhance the premium experience. Powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, it excels in performance, outpacing rivals like the CMF Phone 2 Pro and Vivo V50 in benchmarks. The camera system, with a 50MP main and ultra-wide lenses, is versatile, although the absence of a periscope telephoto lens is a slight drawback. Price starting from ₹31,999, the Realme 15 Pro offers solid value, blending impressive battery life, performance, and design. Its unique combination of features and IP69-rated build make it a top choice for 2025, especially for those prioritizing battery life and vibrant displays. However, if you want wireless charging or a periscope camera, consider alternatives like the Vivo V50.

    The Good
    1. Massive 7000mAh battery for long-lasting use. Sleek and lightweight design at 7.79mm and 187 grams. Vibrant 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
    2. Sleek and lightweight design at 7.79mm and 187 grams.
    3. Strong camera setup with dual 50MP sensors.
    4. Smooth performance with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.
    The Bad
    1. No wireless charging available.
    2. Lacks a telephoto lens for versatile photography.
    3. Selfie camera smoothing can look unnatural.
    4. Not a flagship processor, limiting high-end performance.

The Realme 15 Pro 5G has made a bold entrance into the mid-range smartphone market, boasting a massive 7000mAh battery while maintaining a surprisingly compact and lightweight form factor. This device aims to redefine expectations for battery life without compromising on performance, design, or features. But does it offer something truly new in a crowded market? Let’s dive into the details to find out.

    Design & Build

We received the Flowing Silver variant of the Realme 15 Pro, and it’s an absolute stunner. The phone’s design is both elegant and modern, with a sleek, matte finish on the back that resists fingerprints and exudes a premium feel. The golden accent rings around the camera module add a touch of elegance, giving the aesthetic beyond typical mid-range offerings. At 7.79mm thick and weighing just 187 grams, the Realme 15 Pro feels remarkably light and comfortable to hold, especially considering its massive battery.

The phone features a 6.8-inch 1.4K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and an impressive 6500 nits peak brightness, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The 94% screen-to-body ratio and slim bezels create an immersive viewing experience, while the IP69 rating ensures durability against water and dust. The plastic frame is a slight compromise, but it’s well-crafted and doesn’t detract from the premium vibe. Other thoughtful additions include an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IR sensor, which are handy for everyday use.

    Performance

Powering the Realme 15 Pro is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, a mid-range chipset built on a 4nm process. While it’s not a flagship processor, it’s more than capable of handling day-to-day tasks with ease. From browsing and social media scrolling to streaming and light gaming, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 delivers smooth performance. Multitasking is fluid, with no noticeable lag even when juggling multiple apps. The phone comes with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring quick app launches and efficient data handling.

In our testing, the Realme 15 Pro achieved a single-core Geekbench 6 score of 1,213 and a multi-core score of 3,507. These scores are impressive for a mid-range device, surpassing the CMF Phone 2 Pro (powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300) and the Vivo V50 (powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.

The Adreno GPU handles casual gaming well, maintaining stable frame rates in titles like BGMI. The phone also benefits from a vapour cooling system, which keeps temperatures in check during extended use. Running Android 15 with Realme’s custom UI, the software experience is smooth and enhanced with AI features, such as AI Edit Genie for photo and video editing.

    Camera

The Realme 15 Pro sports a triple rear camera setup, headlined by a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera is a 50MP selfie shooter. This configuration is a step up from its predecessor, particularly with the inclusion of a high-resolution ultra-wide lens, which is uncommon in this price range.

In daylight, the primary 50MP sensor captures vibrant, detailed images with good dynamic range. Colours are punchy yet natural, and OIS ensures sharp shots even in slightly shaky conditions. The 50MP ultra-wide lens is a standout feature, offering a wide field of view with minimal distortion and superior detail retention compared to typical 8MP ultra-wide sensors found in competitors. Low-light performance is respectable, with the primary sensor producing usable shots, though noise creeps in under challenging conditions. The 50MP selfie camera delivers crisp, well-exposed selfies, though it can be slightly aggressive with skin smoothing by default.

The camera system benefits from AI enhancements, such as AI Edit Genie, which enables intelligent photo editing and scene optimization. Compared to the CMF Phone 2 Pro and Vivo V50, the Realme 15 Pro’s camera setup is more versatile, particularly due to the high-resolution ultra-wide lens. However, it lacks a telephoto lens, which some users might prefer.

    Battery

The Realme 15 Pro’s 7000mAh battery is its crowning achievement, offering exceptional endurance in a package that weighs just under 200 grams. To put this in perspective, most phones with batteries this large are significantly bulkier, yet Realme has managed to keep the device slim at 7.69mm. In our testing, the battery performance was impressive. After a 30-minute 4K movie streaming, the battery dropped by just 3%, showcasing its efficiency.

The included 80W fast charger is another highlight, capable of fully charging the 7000mAh battery in just under an hour. This is a significant advantage over competitors like the Vivo V50, which features a 6000mAh battery with 90W charging, and the CMF Phone 2 Pro, which typically offers smaller battery capacities. Unfortunately, wireless charging is not supported, which is a minor letdown for a phone priced around ₹30,000.

In real-world use, the Realme 15 Pro can easily last two days on a single charge with moderate usage, including browsing, gaming, and media consumption. Heavy users will still get a full day with plenty of juice to spare.
