UltraProlink iLink Trio Review: One cable, Three Promises, But Does it Deliver?

    Verdict

7.3 Versatile but not quite perfect

The UltraProlink iLink Trio is a clever, well-built travel accessory that simplifies charging for those who prefer carrying fewer cables. It shines if you’re an Android, MacBook, or Apple Watch user who typically charges one device at a time. However, for iPhone users, especially those expecting fast Lightning charging, the lack of MFi certification is a serious drawback. A handy product, but not the universal all-in-one solution it’s pitched as.

    The Good
    1. Travel-friendly
    2. Versatile (3-in-1)
    The Bad
    1. Slow iPhone charging
    2. Power split limits

The UltraProlink iLink Trio is designed with travellers in mind. It’s a single braided cable that packs in a Lightning connector (27W), a Type-C connector (60W), and a dedicated Apple Watch charger (2.5W).

The idea is simple: one cable, one charging brick, and you’re covered across devices.

On paper, it looks like the perfect bedside or travel companion that’s asking for a rather steep Rs 1,699 amount.

How does it fare in real life? Let’s find out.

    Functionality

The braided build is a win. It feels tough, avoids tangling, and packs neatly in a bag.

The layout is thoughtful too, with the Apple Watch puck attached alongside the Lightning and Type-C heads.

The catch lies in how the power is managed.

The cable’s overall capacity is capped at 60W, which is fine for a MacBook if it’s the only device connected.

But once you plug in a second device, the wattage splits, and MacBook charging slows down significantly.

Despite being marketed as capable for laptops, this makes it more of a one-device-at-a-time solution.

The UltraProlink iLink Trio lets you charge three devices at the same time.

The bigger letdown is with the Lightning connector, which isn’t MFi-certified. In my testing with the iPhone 13, charging speeds were at around 10–11W even when it was the only device connected to a 125W charging brick.

That’s far below the claimed 27W and very disappointing if you’re hoping for fast iPhone top-ups.

That said, if you own Lightning-based AirPods, there’s more use for this cable’s Lightning port for you.

    UltraProlink-iLink-Trio-Braided
The UltraProlink iLink Trio features a neat design.

And there’s another big positive. If you use an Android phone, MacBook, or Apple Watch individually, this cable works well.

The Type-C port can easily handle your laptop, the Apple Watch charger is perfectly functional, and the braided design makes it super handy for anyone who hates juggling multiple cables on the go.
