Get Set Learn, a company under the Arvind Mafatlal Group, has announced an exciting collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. backed Arduino, a leading provider of open-source electronics platforms, to advance artificial intelligence (AI), electronics, and emerging technology education for K–12 students across India.

As AI technology evolves and integrates into real-world systems, powering robotics, automation, and intelligent decision-making, the need for students to acquire skills in building and applying such technologies is more crucial than ever. This partnership aims to introduce Physical AI learning and a future-ready curriculum into India’s educational framework for young learners.

The initiative seeks to make advanced technologies practical and accessible for students by leveraging Arduino’s trusted hardware and toolchains alongside Qualcomm’s innovative energy-efficient on-device AI capabilities. This integration will enable students to gain hands-on experience designing intelligent systems that function even in areas with limited connectivity, which is vital given the diverse resource environments across India.

Key objectives of the collaboration include:

    • Developing classroom-ready learning pathways that merge electronics, coding, robotics, and AI to drive measurable outcomes from grades K–12.
    • Offering on-device, edge AI experiences that empower students to design, deploy, and iteratively refine physical systems locally, thereby enhancing responsiveness, privacy, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Transforming Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) and STEAM labs into structured, certification-focused learning environments aligned with future skills and essential life skills.
    • Ensuring large-scale implementation through Get Set Learn’s established national school partnerships and content ecosystem, leading to a consistent impact across both public and private educational institutions.

Building for India, Aligning with Global Standards

By focusing on widely adopted global standards and toolchains, this initiative allows schools to invest confidently in education technology. Emphasizing physical computing with on-device AI ensures resilience against connectivity issues, reduces recurring costs, and teaches foundational engineering principles crucial for developing real products.

Students will progress from understanding fundamentals to creating deployable systems, including reading sensors and controlling actuators. This hands-on learning approach will culminate in a portfolio of practical builds and certifications that align with higher education and entry-level industry pathways.

Get Set Learn will spearhead the implementation of this program through its extensive content ecosystem and school collaborations. This initiative resonates with national priorities for digital literacy, innovation, and workforce readiness, and reflects Get Set Learn’s commitment to delivering future skills at scale.

Savi Soin, Senior Vice President & President of Qualcomm India, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “India’s AI future will rely on locally deployed, energy-efficient physical intelligence, and that journey must commence in our classrooms today. By working with Get Set Learn, we are equipping students with edge AI capabilities, empowering them to tackle real-world challenges directly.”

Priyavrata Mafatlal, Vice-Chairman of the Arvind Mafatlal Group and Founder of Get Set Learn, emphasized the importance of shaping India’s role in the AI era responsibly, pointing out that fostering confidence and competence in classrooms is essential for nurturing a resilient innovation economy.

Ameet Zaverii, CEO & Co-founder of Get Set Learn, reaffirmed the mission to ensure that essential future skills extend beyond select classrooms to reach learners across various geographies and educational systems. “By uniting with Qualcomm Technologies and Arduino, we aim to create scalable, structured education models that bring global technological leadership into the hands of students in real classrooms,” he said.

Fabio Violante, Vice President & General Manager of Arduino, noted, “Our goal is to make innovation accessible. This partnership will expand Physical AI education, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to engage with these critical technologies.”
