Royal Enfield seems to be taking its spirit of exploration to new heights with the inaugural Himalayan Basecamp – Ladakh Edition, a three-day gathering designed for adventure enthusiasts. Scheduled from September 4 to 6 in Leh, the event will unfold at an altitude of 11,480 feet and bring together riders, climbers, overlanders, kayakers and outdoor explorers under one roof.
Positioned as India’s first dedicated adventure intersection, the Himalayan Basecamp aims to offer more than just motorcycle rides. Participants will be able to take part in skill-based challenges, including a Time-Speed-Distance Navigation Challenge, an off-road endurance event called Himalayan Spirit and a hill climb competition. The event will also host expert-led masterclasses covering bush mechanics, off-road recovery, overlanding basics, SUV expedition techniques and even high-altitude cooking.

Beyond motorcycles, Royal Enfield is opening the doors to a range of outdoor disciplines. Attendees can experience rafting and kayaking on the Zanskar and Indus rivers, rock climbing sessions, hiking expeditions, mountain biking trails and paragliding activities.
One of the biggest attractions will be seven curated expeditions that showcase Ladakh beyond the usual tourist routes. These include culture and photography trails, sacred monastery rides, coffee trails and the demanding Triple Pass Expedition, which takes participants across Khardung La, Wari La and Tanglang La over three days.
The experience will also focus on wellness and community, with recovery sessions, Moto Yoga, fireside conversations and local Ladakhi cuisine accompanied by acoustic music performances.
Royal Enfield will further organise guided rides to Ladakh from 24 cities across India, allowing participants to turn the journey itself into part of the adventure. Registrations for the Himalayan Basecamp – Ladakh Edition are now open through the company’s website.
