Dell Technologies has launched two new rugged laptops in India, the Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Dell Pro Rugged 14. Designed for professionals working in challenging environments, the laptops focus on durability, performance and reliable connectivity. They are aimed at sectors such as public safety, manufacturing, transportation, oil and gas, utilities and local government.
Both laptops are powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. They also support Wi-Fi 7, optional 5G connectivity, and GPS for location tracking in remote areas. Their hot-swappable batteries also let users replace batteries without interrupting work.
Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme
The Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme is designed for workers who need a compact laptop that can withstand harsh conditions. It has an IP66 rating for protection against dust and water ingress. It has also been tested to withstand drops of up to six feet (around 1.8 metres).
The laptop features a 13.3-inch Full HD display with a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. This should help users view content in direct sunlight. For performance, it offers Intel Arc integrated graphics and up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory. It also supports removable SSDs and self-encrypting drives for organisations that handle sensitive data.

Dell Pro Rugged 14
The Dell Pro Rugged 14 is designed for professionals who need a balance of performance and portability. It weighs about 2.13kg and features an IP53 rating for protection against dust, dirt, and water splashes. In addition, it can withstand drops from up to three feet (around one metre).
The laptop features a 14-inch Full HD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and up to 1,100 nits of brightness. It also includes an NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell Generation Laptop GPU, making it suitable for demanding visualisation, data analysis, and AI workloads. Furthermore, its LPCAMM2 memory supports configurations of up to 64GB.
Dell has also redesigned the laptop’s vehicle docking system. The updated design includes quad passthrough connectivity and improved compatibility with third-party docking solutions. As a result, it is suited to professionals who spend much of their working day on the road.
Connectivity and security
Both laptops include features designed to support field work and enterprise deployments. Their displays support touch input while wearing gloves and in wet conditions. They also offer optional 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7 and GPS to help workers stay connected across different locations.
For security, the laptops include TPM 2.0, smart card readers, fingerprint readers and IR cameras for Windows Hello facial recognition. Dell also includes SafeID with ControlVault, BIOS-level security measures, and quantum-resistant protections.
Additionally, both devices come with Dell Rugged Control Center. The software lets users access key settings, configure GPS modules, and customise hardware shortcuts. IT teams can also use cloud-based tools to deploy and manage devices across large workforces.

The Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Dell Pro Rugged 14 are available in India starting October 9, 2026. Their prices are as follows:
