There are headphones that try to make a statement, and then there are headphones that simply want to do their job. The Number Headit Pro falls somewhere in the latter category. I’ve been using these headphones for around three weeks, primarily while travelling, and while they may not be the most exciting-looking pair out there, they have one feature that genuinely impressed me- the battery life.

Design
The first thing I noticed about the Number Headit Pro is how they feel in the hands. The finish feels soft and comfortable to hold, although the plain white colour does make the overall design feel a little bland. There is nothing particularly colourful or flashy about them, which may appeal to people who prefer a more understated look. I wish I had the blue model, to know the look and feel better.
The buttons to play/pause, change modes and adjust volumes are placed on the left-hand side and arranged neatly in a straight line. This makes them relatively easy to find and operate without having to constantly look at the headphones.
Once you put them on, however, the Number Headit Pro does a good job of staying in place. The earcups sit well over the ears and the headphones fix comfortably on the head. The cushioning on the headband also deserves a mention. It provides a good grip and makes the headphones feel secure when you’re moving around.
Another feature I appreciated is the foldable earcups. They make the headphones more compact, which is particularly useful when you’re travelling. Instead of taking up unnecessary space in your bag, they can be folded down and packed away neatly.

Sound Quality
Coming to the sound, the experience is quite straightforward. Honestly, the Number Headit Pro felt a lot like using earphones but just enhanced.
There are three different modes to choose from: Gaming Mode, Normal Mode and Enhanced Mode. Out of these, the Enhanced Mode essentially just increases the overall sound.
I wouldn’t describe the audio experience as dramatically different across the modes, but having the flexibility to switch between them is useful depending on what you’re listening to or doing.
For everyday listening, especially while travelling, the sound gets the job done without making things unnecessarily complicated.

Functionality
Pairing the Number Headit Pro with a device is incredibly easy. Whether it’s a phone, tablet or laptop, the headphones connect almost instantly, which is exactly what you want from a wireless pair.
The only issue I noticed during my usage was around the neck. I might have a slightly thicker neck, but I found the headphones a little tight when resting around it. It isn’t a deal-breaker, but it is something to keep in mind if you frequently wear your headphones around your neck between listening sessions.

Battery Life
This is where the Number Headit Pro really impressed me.
The headphones offer up to 100 hours of battery life, and after using them for three weeks, I’m genuinely impressed by how difficult it is to run them out of juice.
My usual routine involves using them while travelling, with around an hour of music every day. Over one weekend, I also used them through an entire night while watching my favourite content.
And yet, the headphones still had battery left.
That kind of battery life is incredibly reassuring. You can throw them into your travel bag without constantly worrying about whether you remembered to charge them.

Verdict
The Number Headit Pro isn’t trying to reinvent headphones. Its design is simple, the sound experience is straightforward, and the functionality is easy to understand and affordable too. But for someone looking for headphones at a good budget, that’s exactly what you need.
The comfortable fit, foldable earcups and effortless pairing make them convenient for everyday use, while the 100-hour battery life is easily the biggest highlight for me.
After three weeks of use, the fact that I’m still not reaching for the charger says quite a lot.
