At Rs 3,999, the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro walks into one of the most brutally competitive price segments in Indian audio right now. Everyone wants a piece of the sub-5K TWS pie, and OnePlus is throwing serious specs at the wall. Those include 55dB ANC, LHDC 5.0, Bluetooth 6.0, and spatial audio. The question isn’t whether the spec sheet looks good. It does. The real question is whether it actually feels good in daily life. After about a week of commutes, calls, and couch sessions, here’s where I landed.
Design
The case is a smooth, pebble-shaped rectangle that disappears into your pocket without drama. It’s devoid of flashy curves and unnecessary textures, and only has a clean LED indicator up front and a USB-C port at the bottom. The black unit I tested looks quietly premium, the kind of thing you don’t need to hide at a meeting. The buds themselves weigh just 4.4 grams each, and that low weight is something you genuinely notice. I wore these for three-hour stretches without once reaching up to adjust them. IP55 protection means they handled my sweaty metro commute and a light drizzle without complaint.
Sound Quality
Sound-wise, the Nord Buds 4 Pro leans warm and bassy without tipping into muddy territory. Vocals sit comfortably in the mix, and the low end has a satisfying thump for pop and hip-hop. It’s not the most analytical listen, but it’s consistently enjoyable. These are earbuds you want to keep in, not just tolerate. The LHDC 5.0 support adds a touch of extra resolution with compatible devices, though the gap is subtle on streaming services.
Functionality
The ANC surprised me most. At 55dB, it handles fan noise, chatter, and street ambience without that uncomfortable pressure some ANC earbuds create. It feels natural rather than aggressive. The transparency mode on these earbuds is equally clean. Conversations pass through without sounding hollow or robotic. As for call quality, which is backed by beamforming mics, it is sharp and consistent even outdoors.
The HeyMelody app gives you solid control, with the likes of custom EQ, touch remapping, dual-device switching, and Spotify Tap. Dual connectivity between my phone and laptop worked seamlessly every single time, which isn’t always guaranteed at this price.
Battery Life
OnePlus claims 13 hours per charge, and real-world use tracks very close to that. With ANC running, expect something closer to 9 to 10 hours, which is still enough to outlast most workdays. The case tops that up to roughly 54 hours total. The 10-minute fast charge, giving back 13 hours of playback, is genuinely impressive and saved me more than once.
