In a world where smartwatches dominate wrists, Ulysse Nardin has launched its new Diver Hammerhead Shark that’s aimed at combining cutting-edge materials, ocean-ready performance, and a design that screams adventure.
This isn’t your average diving watch. For starters, it’s crafted from titanium and finished in a deep blue PVD coating, making it not only lightweight but also more resistant to wear and tear. At 44mm across, it’s unapologetically chunky, yet its sleek profile (14.81mm) hugs the wrist with surprising comfort. It’s built for real underwater action, with a 300m water-resistance rating and a rubberised rotating bezel for that essential grip, whether you’re adjusting it poolside or halfway through a scuba dive.
But it’s the details that elevate this to wearable art. The crown guard pops in red, and the caseback features a bold hammerhead shark engraving. Even the dial of the Diver Hammerhead Shark is a visual treat. It features a finely sandblasted blue face with a standout “X” motif, luminescent markers, and a punch of red throughout. It’s even got a reserve gauge at 12 o’clock, aside from a rotating small seconds subdial and date display at 6.
Under the hood, the Diver Hammerhead Shark is powered by Ulysse Nardin’s UN-118 automatic movement. Thanks to silicon-based components, it resists magnetic fields and doesn’t require lubrication, which means it’s not just high-performance but also future-proof.
The watch has a bold blue rubber strap and even includes a second strap in fabric with Velcro, just in case you’re heading from yacht deck to mountain trail. And for the eco-conscious, 1% of all sales will go directly to marine conservation via “1% for the Planet” and “Shark Trust.”
Limited to just 300 pieces globally, the Ulysse Nardin Diver Hammerhead Shark is priced at around $12,100 (approx Rs 10,25,400).
