Under Armour athlete Renee Noronha has qualified for the prestigious IRONMAN World Championships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, after securing first place in her age category at IRONMAN Philippines 2026. The victory marks another milestone for one of India’s fastest-rising endurance athletes and reinforces Under Armour’s growing commitment to supporting elite sporting talent in the country through its UA SqUAd athlete roster.
Representing Under Armour, the Mumbai-based triathlete has steadily built an impressive resume in endurance sport. She first grabbed national attention by becoming India’s youngest female athlete to complete a full IRONMAN at IRONMAN New Zealand at just 18 years of age. Since then, she has continued to make her mark on the international stage, including a strong performance at IRONMAN Hamburg, which hosted the European Championships, where she finished among the top athletes in her age category.

Her latest triumph in the Philippines now earns her a coveted spot at the IRONMAN World Championships, considered the pinnacle of long-distance triathlon competition.
Noronha’s sporting journey began far from endurance racing. A former rhythmic gymnast, she transitioned into CrossFit, long-distance running and eventually triathlons under the guidance of certified IRONMAN coach Shankar Thapa. The discipline and resilience developed through gymnastics have become defining traits of her racing career.
Beyond the IRONMAN circuit, the Under Armour athlete has also claimed multiple podium finishes across triathlons, cyclothons and endurance events. Her ambition extends beyond a single championship—she aims to complete an IRONMAN race on every continent before turning 21.
Off the race course, Noronha balances her sporting career with academics, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Sports Management while simultaneously studying Data Science at IIT Madras.
With the backing of Under Armour and qualification for the sport’s biggest stage now secured, Renee Noronha is set to represent India at the IRONMAN World Championships in Hawaii, taking another significant step in what is quickly becoming one of the country’s most promising endurance careers.
